Kalia Rafiq murder-accused held by Kerala anti-terrorist squad

Mumbai, Nov 13: The anti-terrorist squad of Kerala government arrested Jiya in Mumbai on Thursday November 11.

Kalia Rafiq was killed when he was moving towards Mangaluru from the direction of Kasargod on February 14, 2017 by firing at him near a petrol bunk at Kotekar. Three of the accused were arrested in the case.

The main accused, Jiya, had fled to a foreign country. The anti-terrorist squad which was tipped of his return to India, arrested him.

Lookout notices had been issued against Jiya both in Kerala and Karnataka in the past Mangaluru city police commissioner, Shashi Kumar, said that the concerned Kerala court will be approached soon seeking to hand over Jiya to the custody of Karnataka police for the further investigation of the case.
