Mangaluru, Nov 15: Unidentified miscreants pelted stones at an Udupi-Mangaluru private bus damaging its windshield at Kodikal cross on Monday November 15

AKMS bus was moving from Udupi to Mangaluru. When it reached Kodikal cross, miscreants who arrived in a two-wheeler pelted stones at the bus.

The miscreants ensured that the number plates of their two wheelers were not visible to eye witnesses.

It may be recalled, on November 13, stones were pelted at city bus number 15 at Kottara Chowki.

A case has been registered at Urwa police station.

The present CM’s statement encouraging moral policing has given confidence to these lumpens to take law into their hands. Gone are the days when Mangalore was paradise. The merging of the Khaki chaddis with the Khaki Uniform has resulted in trauma for the peaceful law abiding citizens.

There r so many 2 wheelers without proper registration no, tail light. Some idiots drive switching off their headlights at night time. Crime rate is increasing rapidly in Mangalore which was once a very peaceful place. If the administration takes it lightly, it will be very difficult to control it in near future.

Since the reasons are not known and pelting stones is simply unacceptable it should be noted that the Buses (Express.Service and City ) are driven very recklessely,, Often arguments are noticed and being a regular user of this National H ighway ,driving is areal torture.. These buses drive without fear and expect everyone to move aside... They should NOT be allowed to stop at Busstops for any period longer than required (passenger getting down n getting in ). This extra waiting, results in them driving reckless n dangerous . Speed governors should be installed asap..... Till then God save Us All....

@Shetre Surathkal, Will your MLA from your area do something about the serious issues you have raised about recklessly driven buses on the NH?

@ Praveen It is not the fault of 2 wheelers for not having number plate. Now a days if you buy a new vehicle it will take around 1 month just to get the number plate from the showroom. We cannot do anything to make them give the number plates promptly. Everytime we ask showroom guys will tell "av barpund sir, nama call manpuva bathipetige".
