Nov 18: DK reports 9 corona cases; Udupi adds 4 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 18: Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, November 18 reported 9 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 0.18%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 21,91,066 samples have been tested so far, out of which 20,75,360 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,15,706 out of which 109 are currently active.

As many as 20 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 113903.

The death in the district on Thursday is nil. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,694.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,07,70,670 in fines for 88,778 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 12,51,647 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 4 new cases were reported on Thursday, taking the total number of cases to 76,810 out of which 49 are currently active.

A total of 5 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 76,285 for the second wave.
