Dubai, Nov 19: Pamboorians-UAE, an association of Pamboor Parishioners residing in UAE, organized their annual picnic at Zabeel Park, Dubai on Friday 12th November 2010. It was a fun filled and enjoyable day for all the members to come together with their family and friends offering peaceful respite from their busy life style. The day long event was packed with lots of fun, sporting activities, games, and prizes galore, thoroughly enjoyed by adults and children alike.

The programme started at 11:30 am with a short prayer led by the President Veronica Alva, who also welcomed the large gathering. Delicious breakfast was served at the venue.

The gathering was divided into four groups representing four colors Pink, Blue, Black and Red. Ladies were chosen to lead the teams and the teams were named as Pink Panthers, Blue Blasters, Black Labels & Red Bulls. Various sporting games were conducted for groups as well for children like Custard feeding, dodging the ball, Caramel, Frog race, passing the ball, Rock bottom, chocolate game etc.

A delicious lunch was served by Winnys Restaurant, Karama, which was enjoyed by the participants. After the food the gathering were put into a relaxing mood with a game of Housie Housie.

The highlight of the day was old traditional & exiting games like “Modki Futovnchi” & “Tug of War” and everyone participated with sporting spirit.

Diany DSouza, thanked all who attended and the people who helped in making the picnic a grand success.
Finally, Blue Blasters emerged as winners and Pick Panthers as runners up. The day long event ended with the prize distribution to all the winners under adult and children category. All Children attended were also given gift hampers.

Kishore Noronha & Ashok Menezes conducted the full day event. All attendees left with fond memories of sharing joy and happiness as one family.
