Kundapur: Halli Hyda Pyateg Banda Stars Rev Up Moodlukatte Kambala

Kundapur, Nov 29: The historic Moodlukatle Dodmane Kambala of the taluk was held recently with star attraction. People without dicrimination of caste, creed and religion attended the festivities and celebrated it as a rural festival.
The Dodmane Kambala gained national fame during Formal MP I M Jayaram Shetty’s active political career. The national and state level leaders including BJP senior leader L K Advani and former union defence
minister George Fernandes have visited the rural event. Retaining the same splendid, this year stars of Halli Hyda Pyateg Banda programme telecast in Suvarna TV Channel, added special attraction by being
present in the traditional sports event.
Halli Hydas Attract Attention
Thousands of people flocked to Moodlukatte on Sunday afternoon. Those who came as fans of Kambala were thrilled to see the Halli Hydas. Except Rajesh who was the winner of the Hyda series, all other Hydas were present.
Hundreds of people without any age bar thronged to greet them. Some were seen taking autographs while others photographed by standing next to them. Rajkumar, Nagendra, Manjunath, Nagaraj, Ketha, Soma and Muttha were present.
They are on a stay in Mudlukatte for two days. It was very evident that they were happy to receive love and greetings from the people gathered.
Bangalore Multiplex Group Company chief Dr G P Shetty consulted these stars and availed them an opportunity to witness the classiness of Kambala event.
Dr G P Shetty of Moodlukatte Dodmane gave initiation to the Kambala. Rajyotsava Award winner Barkur Shantharam Shetty, Gurkar of Kambala was felicitated on the occasion. Mahesh G Shetty, Dinesh G Shetty, Altharu Sudhakar Shetty, Moodlukatte Rajaram Shetty and Dinakar R Shetty among others were present.
As many as 50 pairs of buffalos took part in the Kambala slush race. Traditional honour were given to buffalos by Moodlukatte Dodmane before the commencement of Kambala. Tug-of-war and Kesaru Gadde Ota (Slush Field Race) were also organized on the occasion.
