Mangaluru: St Agnes College’s Rodney Vaz’s textbook on finance, accounting released

Mangaluru, Dec 22: The department of Commerce of St Agnes College (Autonomous) organised a programme for the release of the textbooks on Financial Literacy & Accounting for Everyone, open electives course of BCom as per the UGC approved syllabus under the National Education Policy 2020 authored by Rodney Vaz, assistant professor, department of Commerce.

The chief guest for the programme Sr Dr M Venissa AC, principal, St Agnes College (Autonomous), and other guests were Sr Clara Rodrigues, vice principal, St Agnes College (Autonomous), and Charles Pais, registrar, St Agnes College (Autonomous).

The programme began with the prayer led by Sr Marita and group. The guests were welcomed by Nimitha K, head of the department of Commerce. The two text books on Financial Literacy & Accounting for Everyone are the first text books published under the National Education Policy 2020 were released by the chief guest Sr Dr M Venissa AC, principal, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru. These text books on open electives course will be referred by Mangalore University, Bangalore City University, Bangalore University, Karnataka University, Mysore University, Rani Chennamma University and Tumkur University.

The chief guest congratulated the author Rodney Vaz for taking the initiative to author the books in the open electives of BCom course. The text books will give in detail the insights of the topics relevant for enhancing the knowledge and skills of the non commerce students. The Programme ended with the vote of thanks rendered by Lawren Castelino, assistant professor, department of Commerce. The programme was compared by Elvira Monthiro, assistant professor, department of Commerce.
