Abu Dhabi: Green List destinations announced for Covid 19

Abu Dhabi, Jan 2: UAE exempted mandatory quarantine measures from people arriving from Green list destinations into the country.

UAE has announced Green list which contains 71 countries. The list is effective from January 3.

While Tunisia, Seychelles, Morocco and Algeria have been added to the list newly, United Kingdom, Lebanon, Russia, Qatar, Jordan and Turkey are dropped from the earlier list.

A maximum time period of 48 hours of PCR test result need to be shown by the passengers arriving from other countries. In addition they have to undergo PCR test upon arrival in Abu Dhbai. Vaccinated passengers have to take another PCR test on day 6 after arrival. However, unvaccinated travellers from Green list countries need to take PCR tests on sixth and ninth days.

Based on the international developments the green list will be updated regularly. Health and safety protocols followed in the destination country will be the critieria for inclusion or removal from the list. This is done in order to ensure well being of citizens and expatriates living in UAE.
