Kundapur, Jan 9: A man is arrested under POCSO for sexually harassing and impregnating a minor girl.

Srikanta (23), a resident of Madhuvana of Yedamoge village is the person who was taken into custody by the police. He is sent to judicial custody.

The accused was continuously harassing the girl sexually and used to rape her in the nights. She became pregnant later.


Srikanta

As the girl developed stomach pain, she went to government hospital in the taluk to get checked. The doctors in the hospital confirmed her pregnancy.

Shankaranarayana police are investigating further.

    He is following many of our politicians. Future MLA. May be Ramesh Jarkiholi, Halappa, Renukacharya, Meti are his role models. We don't have strict rules to punish the rapists and criminals. Hence rapes are increasing. State Goivernment is busy in anti conversion and love jihad but they are least bothered about these rapists as they are their vote bank.

    "Women need a reason to have sex. Men just need a place." 90 % of reported incidents of sexual assault and pregnancy are the result of mutual consent/desire. When physical changes are noticed then arises sex abuse. Why police punish girls/ladies who are willingly venturing into joint projects. ?

Sexual engagement was going on for a prolonged period but how come the minor girl kept quiet ? It's a type of mutual adventure but only blame is that the victim is a minor. As if not knowing the risks involved in their bad actions.
