Udupi: Two youths arrested for peddling ganja, items seized

Udupi, Jan 12: The city crime branch police arrested two persons in connection with illegal stashing and sale of marijuana and hash oil near Perrampalli railway bridge in Shivalli village of the taluk on Tuesday January 11.

The accused are Gladen Clevin Rodrigues (21) from Kalyanpur and Hrithik K M (21) from Padu Peramballi in Ambagilu.

Based on a tip off, the police team led by inspector Manjunath raided the spot and seized 93 grams of ganja, hash oil and a mobile phone worth of Rs 7,000 used to communicate with the buyers, small bottles used to fill hash oil and a Honda Dio scooter worth Rs 40, 000 in which the hash oil was kept.

A case has been booked under NDPS Act of IPC.
