Migration of BJP MLAs to Congress is a lie: CM Bommai

Bengaluru, Jan 27 (IANS): Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday said insecurity is haunting former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as he thinks that "state Congress president D K Shivakumar has overtaken him."

"The tussle between these two will force many in Congress to desert their party in the coming days. There is no question of any one from BJP going there," Bommai said.

Addressing a press conference, he took a dig at DK Shivakumar, who is claiming that many in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are set to join Congress.

"First, he (Shivakumar) had claimed that many BJP MLAs are in contact with him and they are about to join him. Now, he is claiming that they would join Congress when the elections approach. It means his earlier statement was a lie," Bommai said.

The Chief Minister said there has been no reply for the question as to who are the MLAs who are set to desert BJP. "There is an internal tussle within Congress," Bommai said.

"The Congress is non-existent in Uttar Pradesh assembly election. It is losing power in Punjab. It is nowhere in a position to win in Goa. So Congress will become irrelevant after the assembly election in 5 states. Its effect would be felt on the Karnataka Congress too," Bommai said.

On asked if any Congress MLA is in touch with the BJP, Bommai said: "I have not said anything like that."

Replying to a question about former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy's statement that nobody could form a government without JD-S' support after the election, Bommai said: "It has always been his (HDK's) wish. He feels that a hung mandate would give him the freedom."

    Bomma is desperate now. He has mentioned all the states where congress may do badly but hasn’t mentioned how badly BJP will do in these states and BJP politicians who have jumped to other parties. Don’t worry as you have failed in every respect as CM you will be removed soon after the election.

    The best BJP did was last Assembly elections ( THROUGHOUT ELECTORAL HISTORY IN STATE FOR BJP ) under leadership of SHRI YEDDYURAPPA and + Possibly Modi wave -- -- Also Congress -- Ticket allotment mess -- etc etc -- added to BJP 's performance - --- betrayal by JDS -- with regards to YEDDYURAPPA - CM post denial -- With all above --the BJP tally on their own was 105 ----- This time around Congress appears to have learnt lessons -- BJP -- imploding among themselves- ---- NO SHRI YEDDY -- front man-- no MODI WAVE -- Economy in distress ---- Stock market crash -- OIL going up -- Poor COVID management-- needless LOCK DOWNS - Curfew --- Not on scientific basis - No discipline in Crowd control -- as Ruling dispensation itself not setting example -- SO WE HAVE TO EXPECT A POLITICAL CHURNING --

    Congress MLA migration to BJP was also a lie till the group left for Mumbai. Who was telling until the end? The people of guided the group to Mumbai was vehemently denying the fact that Congress MLAs were in touch with them. So, it is upto you people to believe CM statement.

    If tickets are not given BJP leaders will join Congress party or JDS and from congress will join BJP or JDS, all the politicians are happy, politicians in India is a special breed that will not remain job less or they become secular when they join congress and become communal when they join BJP. The reality is that no one will get the majority and JDS will become the king maker.

    bomma the gumma has totally lost control over his guys...he has become like dhobi ka kutta na ghar ka na ghat ka...at least kalla yeddy had some supporters...this guy is nowhere...he knows for sure that next assembly elections blue JP thurup out..
