Belthangady: Lady forest officer's transfer at MLA Poonja's behest stayed?

Daijiworld Media Network – Belthangady (EP)

Belthangady, Jan 31: While there were rumours that Belthangady MLA Harish Poonja has written to chief minister Basavaraj Bommai for the transfer of lady forest officer to Bidar, it is said that the senior forest officer concerned has asked her to continue in the current position as there are no official orders from the government to that effect.

A letter said to have been written to the chief minister by MLA Poonja for the transfer of forest officer Sadhya Sachin's of Udupi range squad had gone viral. Some organizations had expressed anguish over the developments and protested.

Sadhya Sachin had alleged that she was being transferred after the MLA was angry with her as she had impounded the vehicle and wood belonging to illegal transporters.

The politicians who involve in the transfer of civil servants are mainly those corrupt and communal minded ones. In this case the forest officer had confiscated the vehicle that was carrying wood belonging to illegal transporters. Why did this MLA felt the pinch when she did her job as it was expected from her? What is his connection with those illegal transporters who were looting the national property? The MLA has to answer to the public. In the recent past few honest officers were also transferred when they had reported that there were no forcible conversions and when some rowdies were arrested for attacking churches. These rogue politicians force the officers not to do what they have to do. Those who are scared to face dire consequence from these politicians, become puppets of these politicians. We have watched a video of an MP in Mangalore going berserk in a police station and threatening police offers. Do these politicians think the civil servants are their house servants?

Not only the MLA, the CM too has a lot to answer. How can the CM just take peremptory action based on someone's request or letter? Shouldn't he have probed the matter before coming to a decision. If he had probed the matter then why did he support a corrupt MLA? He is the CM of the state and he should set a good example by being just and honest. When someone abets a crime, he is also part of it. On the other hand, if he had issued an order without checking the facts, what does it speak about his way of functioning? As I said earlier, it is a totally rotten system we have in our country/state. Now, coming to this MLA, he has no moral right to continue in his position. He has supported a criminal who has indulged in anti national activities and he should be made to pay the price for this. The people, whether they are Bunts or Billawas or from any community should not support such a person and they should ensure that he is not re-elected again. He is unfit for that post. The country needs honest and sincere politicians who are interested in the welfare of our country and this MLA does not fit the bill. He must go and if he doesn't, the people of his constituency should send him packing.

Pooja uppad atthunda perade uppad....they are elected representatives (In fact so called). Government has to give a valid reason for the transfer (Any way our useless politicians can find any reason for sure). But they have to explain why she has been transferred at this time (for which they will not have answer). Dear voters you have experienced the present Government administration or any other parties administration by now. Vote judiciously for your good and the Nations good.

It is time that MLAs stop interfering with the work of civil servants who work for the government and not for MLAs. If Poonja was miffed, this is not the way to handle the matter to get back at the forest officer. Poonja is clearly out of line; he shoud go and make pooja.

When there is no official orders, what was this all about. The Lady is very intelligent. It seems like she wants to preempt the possibility of transfer.
