Mangaluru, Jan 31: YCS Biblia - A Mega Bible Treasure Hunt was conducted by YCS/YSM diocese of Mangalore, on January 30, 2022. It was held online from 3.30 pm onwards up to 7.00 pm. 1,710 participants from India and abroad took part in this competition beyond age and religion and 262 people reached the final round.
The most expected bumper prizes were bagged by the final winners Alan Savio Fernandes Cascia and Ralph Pinto Shirthady. The bumper prizes consists of Rs 5,000 each cash prize.
The winners in each round with Rs 1,000 each cash prize are as follows: Jolene Saldanha Farla, Elvita Reema Dsouza Vijayadka, Leena Thomas Sanctis Farla, Claviola Sequeira Karkala and Avinash Paul Fernandes Omzoor.
The unique idea of online treasure hunt on Bible and the creativity as well as technical methods used with much efforts were appreciated by all participants.
There were six rounds which involved giving miss call, listening caller tune, mumble - jumble, watching the whstsapp DP, forming bit link etc thus whole competition was revolved around Bible and smart phone. Two call numbers were kept only to attend the queries from the participants.
The team Biblia 2022 had 10 members namely Fr Rupesh Madtha, Fr Vishal Monis, Fr Kenneth Crasta, Preetham D'Souza, Prajwal Sequeira, Melreeda Rodrigues, Mervin Vas, Lanwin Lobo, Josvita Dsouza, Briston Rodrigues, Merel Dsouza and the YCS central council members.
The organisers have thanked all the participants for their efforts and cooperation. They have also expressed their gratitude towards sponsors of the event Leslie Shenoy Urwa and in memory of the late Hilary D'Souza Leena D'Souza amd Family Urwa.
