Feb 3: Dakshina Kannada reports 317 Covid cases, Udupi adds 309 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi,Feb 3: Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, February 3 reported 317 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 4.94%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 27,29,636 samples have been tested so far, out of which 25,96,048 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,33,588 out of which 2,789 are currently active.

As many as 623 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 129019.

The death in the district on Thursday is 5. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,780.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,14,75,280 in fines for 94,914 mask violations.

Udupi

A total of 309 new cases were reported on Thursday. The total active Covid cases have risen to 2,696. A total of 898 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday.

Udupi taluk reported 181 cases, Kundapura 75 and 47 cases in Karkala. 6 cases were reported from outside district.
