Udupi: Hijab row – With no signs of solution, other students approach ADC

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (JD/MS)

Udupi, Feb 4: It seems the controversy over the Hijab in the government college for women in the city is not getting resolved any time soon. Now, the other students of the college have approached additional deputy commissioner (ADC) to create a suitable environment for education in the institute.

The other girl students of the college, in their appeal submitted to additional DC, said, “The environment of our college is disturbed. The final exams are round the corner. Instead of giving more priority to studies, chaos is created in the institute. Because of just six students, the future of 600 students is in doldrums. Police and media are present in the campus of the college every day.

“Our college has a history of many decades. No discrimination is done here among the students. Only six students have created issue and disturbed the study environment of the college. The district administration should take immediate action on this matter,” stated the students in the appeal.
