Udupi: Right-wing activists find boy, girl from different communities in resort, call cops

Udupi, Feb 17: In a case of immoral rowdism, activists of a right-wing outfit handed over a girl and boy belonging to different communities who were in a resort in Malpe over to police.

It is said that the activists came to know that a girl and a boy from different communities had been to a resort in Malpe on February 17. They grew suspicious and informed the local police.

Sources said that the young couple had booked a room in a resort at Badanidiyoor. They later said that they were childhood friends and loved each other.

An activist of a right-wing outfit first got the information and passed on the same to leaders of the outfit.

Malpe police arrived on the spot and took both the girl and the boy into custody and interrogated.

SI of Malpe police station informed that both were sent to their respective houses after their parents were summoned to the police station.

No complaint has been registered.
