New Delhi, May 7: The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) was hiked by Rs 50 per cylinder on Saturday May 7. A 14.2-kg non-subsidised domestic gas cylinder will cost Rs 999.50 per cylinder from Saturday.
This is the first increase in LPG rates since early October.
After the latest price hike, a 14.2-kg non-subsidised LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 999.50 in Delhi. With the latest price hike, the LPG cylinder in Mumbai will cost Rs 999.50, while in Kolkata, a customer will have to pay Rs 1,026. In Chennai, the prices have been increased to Rs 1,015.50 and in Lucknow, it will now cost Rs 1,037.50.

The prices of commercial LPG cylinders were increased earlier on May 1 by around Rs 102 to Rs 2355.50.
The hike in cylinder prices has come at a time when people are already troubled by the rising prices of petrol and diesel in the country.
The recent price hike in petrol and petroleum products is due to a sharp increase in global energy prices as a result of the Russia-Ukraine crisis that has led to supply chain constraints.
