As a student and teacher of history, what I have learnt is to ascertain the date of any monument/ inscription the archaeologists take years to various tests including carbon dating. Strange that a discovery is made and the date is already said to be the 14th century. The vijayanagara rulers' inscriptions on hazara Ramaswamy temple prove that their language was Telugu.

Recently there has been a strange trend of "discovering" stone inscriptions and other such things of the past. Interestingly, these "discoverers" are research students being guided by their lecturers and professors. Do these "discoverers" have tools to ascertain the age and authenticity of these stone inscriptions? The world over, archaeologists spend sleepless nights discovering the artefacts of the past, and here in the undivided DK district we find them at the flick of finger.

This is Tulunadu .. Digging and finding the Kannada inscription is a ploy by the Karnataka govt to undermine the progress and unity of Tuluvas and rename Tuluvas as Kannadigas.

Dear Shettre Unlike kannadigas, Tamilians, Konkanis, Tulu speaking people are not having patriotism for tulu nadu/culture as much as they have ,right from the beggining ever since states created based on languages , However kerala , Karnataka , Tamilnadu and so on ....... states were created with thier true love and sweat . A few person like you keep speaking Tunadu , but no dedication , most of your comunities prefer to use Kannada in thier daily lives . Ever since independance, so many MP's and MLA's given to nation and states from this land , Niether they nor your comunities took least care about Tulu nadu, Before blaming Karanataka goverment for a ploy , you need to do soul observation in this regard
