Udupi, Jun 3: Path breaking MoU signing between Manipal College of Health Professions, MAHE (an Institution of Eminence, deemed to be University with NAAC A++ grade) and Department of Public Instruction, Karnataka School Nurturing Programme, Udupi District, Government of Karnataka on June 2.
The Manipal College of Health Profession in collaboration with Department of Public Instruction has desired to take up the all-round improvement of the Training Centre, established for the Children with Special Needs under SamagraShikanan Karnataka, at Government Higher Primary School (GHPS) near City Bus stand in Udupiand extending to all other centres of Udupi district for both special children and for the school health program. Initially the Department of Physiotherapy, Department of Occupational Therapy, Department of Speech and Hearing,Department of Optometry and Department of ClinicalPsychology will provide the free evaluation and treatment to needy children.
The MoU isexchanged by Dr Arun G Maiya, dean, MCHP and Govind Madival, deputy director – Public Instruction in the presence of Dr Ashoka Kamath (BEO, Udupi), Gangaya, Shivananda Nayak, Dr Venkataraja Aithal U (Associate Dean, MCHP), Dr Reshmi B (Associate Dean, MCHP), Dr Bhamini Rao, and Dr Sunila John.
