Mangaluru: Expert PU College inaugurates ‘Edupath’

Give them your the best ever try,” said Ankush N Nayak, director of Information Technology, Expert Group of Institutions, at Kootakkala Hall, Mangaluru, on Sunday, June 12. He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of ‘Edupath’, a day long career guidance programme, held for the second PU students of the Expert PU College, Kodialbail, to provide them comprehensive information on full range options in higher education so that they can choose their career rightly and wisely and to orient them regarding the various avenues and strategies for cracking all India competitive exams.The session was initiated with the recital of college anthem and then was symbolically inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp.

Conducting a brain storming session, professor Harish Bhat, head of the department of Physics, Ramakrishna PU College, Mangaluru, guided the students about effective ways to prepare for JEE and CET. He furnished the AICE aspirants with extensive information about various reputed institutions, courses they offer in different streams and the bright career prospects they open up.

Dr K V Gangadharan, professor in Mechanical Engineering and Head of the Centre for System Design, NITK, Surathkal, stated that engineers create a world that never existed before and civil engineering is the mother of all engineering branches. He spoke on the topic ‘Engineer your future’ and presented a bird’s eye view of the engineering branches, scope and job opportunities.

Professor Prashanth R Sahay, an IITian and AIEEE rank holder of Bihar and an eminent speaker, delivered an excellent session on ‘Exam convergence is an art, acquire it’. He felt that preparing for competitive exams can become a challenge, but with proper strategies and knowledge on the do’s and don’ts, it can become attainable. He suggested the students to articulate a smart strategy, prepare a routine that would highlight the weaknesses and strengths accordingly.

Dr Sajjan Shenoy, Rheumatologist, KMC, Mangaluru, founder of ‘Rheumatology and Immunology Clinic’, the first of its kind in India and a proud Expertian, spoke on the topic ‘Why to be a Doctor? How to be a Doctor?’ He explained the students the in and out of study of medicine and the hierarchies they need to achieve. He also had convincing answers for the inquisitive queries students had at the end. Professor Ramchandra Bhat, principal, Expert PU College, Kodialbail, was present on the dais. Students Sathwika and Gowri Menon introduced the guest speakers and Ujwal Pradeep, lecturer in Biology, compered the programme.
