Kundapur: Pedestrian killed by speeding car while crossing road

Kundapur, June 16: A pedestrian was killed after a speeding car hit him while he was crossing the road at Nagoor, NH 66 on Thursday, June 16 evening.

Nagoor resident Sadashiva Shanbhog (45) died on the spot in the accident.

The accident occured at about 5.45 PM. A family was travelling from Mangaluru to Bhatkal in a Volkswagen Polo car. The speeding car rammed into Sadashiva Shanbhog killing him on the spot.

The Byndoor station police visited the spot and conducted an inquest.

    Do not know whose mistake in this case. But normally we see people crossing road in NH66 carelessly. Crossing the road needs to be stopped in speed highways.
