Mumbai, Mar 16: Under the aegis of Bombay South Kanara Brahmins' Association (BSKBA) and Gopalakrishna Public Trus, a religious programme of recitation of Rigveda mythological scriptures will be held at Geetha Govind auditorium of Gokul, Sion (East) here from Tuesday March 22 to Friday March 25 and Yajurveda, religious concourse and variety cultural events will be held from Saturday March 26 to Sunday April 3.
Vedamurti Puttur Keshav Avadani, Vedamurti Puttur Ashwatta Narayan Avadani, Arasinamakki based Shankar Veda Vidhya Gurukul head Anshuman Abhyankar, first woman priest Bhramaraya Maheshwari will lead the Vedic rituals, informed BSKBA president Suresh S Rao Kateel.
Puja and Gangodaka Kalasha Pratista will be held on Tuesday March 22 from 7.30 am to 12.30 pm. The recitation of Rugvedha mythological scripture by Vedamurti Durgaprasad Bhat and Ganesh Prasad Bhat will be held from Wednesday March 23to Friday March 25 at 4.00 pm. Homa celebrations will be held on Saturday March 26 afternoon by Vedamurti Ramachandra Bayari, Vedamurti Ramdas Upadhyaya and group. Vedamurti Durgaprasad Bhat group will perform Gandhodaka Kalasha, Pushpodaka Kalasha and other religious rites including Kalashabishek to Lord Krishna, Vishnu Sahasranama and Lalita Sahastranama, inaugural of cultural programmes, informed Gopalakrishna Public Trust secretary Dr P G Rao.
Various religious rites will be held from Saturday March 26 Friday April 1. Pejavar mutt Swami Vishveshateerta and Subramanya mutt Swami Vidhyaprasannateerta will grace the religious celebrations on Sunday April 3, informed Gopalakrishna Public Trust ® honorary secretary H B L Rao.
BSKBA Association honorary secretary A P K Poti urged the community brethren to attend the religious celebrations in large numbers.
