Mangaluru: Government First Grade College to organise Investor Awareness Programme

Mangaluru, Jul 26: Government First Grade College, Kavoor in collaboration with Mangalore University Commerce Teachers Association (MUCTA) ® is  for its students and teachers on August 1 in the college auditorium.

This is an inter-collegiate event as final year BCom students of BGS First Grade College are also taking part in this resourceful programme.

The inaugural of this programme is slated for 9 30am, Dr Ummappa Poojary, associate professor and dean – Academics, Shree Gokarnanateshwara Educational Institutions has consented to be the chief guest and Leo Amal A, Senior Branch Manager of Franklin Templeton India Pvt Ltd,

Mangalore to be the Guest of Honour cum Speaker for one of the sessions.

The other Speakers are Naveen Rego, SEBI Certified Financial Planner and Yvonil D’Souza, Personal Investment Services Professional, Mangalore.

Dr Shivarama P, Principal of the college will preside over the inaugural and Prof Louis Manoj, IQAC Coordinator and Secretary of MUCTA to give a prelude to the session. Dr Therese Pereira, IQAC Co-Coordinator will also be a part of the inaugural programme.

The I session will begin at 10:30 am on the topic, ‘Financial Literacy’ by Naveen Rego, II Session at 11 45 on the topic, ‘Time Value of Money – When to Invest Money’ and will be handled by Leo Amal A and post lunch Session on the topic, ‘Personal Investment Planning – Hands on’ will
be handled by Yvonil D’Souza.

It will be a great opportunity for all the teachers and students to learn from the practitioners and plan their finances accordingly. The major take away of this IAP will be to make all our participants financially independent and prudent investors.
