Mangaluru/Udupi, Aug 13: Dakshina Kannada on Saturday, August 13, reported 17 new coronavirus cases while eight cases were registered in Udupi.
The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,36,415 out of which 59 are currently active. As many as 11 patients were discharged on August 13.
No death's were reported on August 13. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,857.
The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.
Positivity rate for the day stood at 1.75 percent.
So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.
Udupi
Eight coronavirus cases were reported on August 13. The total active Covid cases are 32.
A total of 10,90,181 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,83,815 have received both doses and 2,07,045 people have received booster doses.
Udupi reported five cases, Kundapur added two and Karkala one case.
