Brahmavar: Taluk Level Science Drama Competition for High School students held at SMS English School

Udupi, Sep 5: "Knowledge of Science is very important as we can not live without science and technology. It is possible to create a scientific spiritual society when it is further spread through the theater," said Nagendra Pai, Science teacher MJC Manipal.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the Brahmavara Taluk Level High School Students' Science Drama Competition conducted by the Department of School Education and Literacy at SMS English Medium School, Brahmavar.

Selected teams from taluk high schools participated in the competition. The high school division of the Government Pre University College Brahmavara won the first place, SMS English Medium School (CBSE) secured second place and the Boys' high school Kota got third place. The winning teams were distributed certificates by B T Nayak, incharge BEO Brahmavar.

Abhilasha S, principal of SMS English Medium School, welcomed the audience and urged the participants to treat it as a science drama festival and enjoy the performance. Bindiya, Block Education Officer gave the introductory note. Raghav Shetty, Mandarthi Hobali Education coordinator, Vanitha Shetty, teacher at Government Primary School Sasthavu were present.

Ravi Katkere compered the programme and proposed a vote of thanks.
