My Film is Not 'No One Killed Jessica': Rohan Sippy

New Delhi, Apr 20 (PTI) Rohan Sippy is breathing easy after the Mumbai High Court threw out a petition seeking a ban on his upcoming release 'Dum Maro Dum'.

But the filmmaker says that the hue and cry was unwarranted as his film is simply a good old "chor police ki kahaani" with no resemblance to real life events.

The film had run into controversy over it's alleged negative portrayal of Goa and Goan women but Sippy, the son of Ramesh 'Sholay' Sippy, says that the film does not pass any such judgements.

"This film is not a 'No One Killed Jessica', which was it's director's interpretation of how a real life event unfolded. 'Dum Maro Dum' is a thriller driven by it's genre rather than any sensational incident that happened in Goa," Sippy told PTI.
