Mangalore: Lights, camera, action for Lakumi team's 'Ekka Saka' Tulu movie

Lakumi Cine Creations, Mangalore held the muhurath of its first film 'Ekka Saka' at Vajradehi Mata, Gurpur on Sunday, December 1.
 
The head of Vajradehi Mata Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

Harish Sherigar, Dubai-based entrepreneur and singer who was the chief guest of the programme sounded the clap. Addressing the gathering, he said, "These days Tulu films are losing their originality and so they fail to attract viewers. For a Tulu movie to be good, it should come out from the influence of drama."
 
He added, "A film achieves success only when its created in its own way. Looking at the spirit of Ekka Saka team I feel that the film will achieve great success. I wish the film creates history through its success." He wished the team all success and extended his full support to the movie especially in Dubai.
 
The former presidents of Tulu Sahitya Academy Seetharam Kulal, Umanath Kotian and businessman Shekhar Shetty Tenjemane were the chief guests.

"Lakumi team has been encouraging artistes and promoting art. This team headed by Lion Kishore D is contributing a lot to the Tulu theatre. The film Ekka Saka will be the first gift to the Tulu film industry by the Lakumi team and I wish this film completes 200 days and creates a history in Tulu film industry," said Setharam Kulal.
 
The producer of the film Ln Kishore D Shetty said that to produce any good quality movie an experienced team is required. "We are all set with a team that is well versed with Tulu film industry. I request full support from all in making of this movie," he said.
 
The co-producer of the film Girish Shetty, Chandrahas Shetty and the stars of the movie Hitesh Naik and Sonal Padil were present.
 
Director K Suraj, artistes Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar, Sathish Bandale and Ravi Surathkal were present.
 
Tulu theatre artiste Shobharaj of Kannada serial 'Bhale Basava' fame delivered the preliminary address. The programme was compered by Navin Shetty Alake.

 

About the movie
 
"The movie has been planned with an aim to enrich the Tulu film industry. The movie has a well written script and an intense story line. Lead actors Hitesh Naik and Sonal Padil are making their debut in the film industry with this movie. Both are highly talented and were selected keeping in mind the character of the movie. Other than that, various comedy actors of Tulu theatre will also be acting in this movie.
 
"Director Suraj K has already worked as an associate with a famous director. Music director Ravi Basrur and cameraman Navin Kerala are well experienced and highly talented, which will ensure that the film will achieve great success," said Kishore Shetty.
 
Dubai-based businessman and popular singer Harish Sherigar will be singing the title song for this movie and will also make a guest appearance with Chitaranjan Poojary (Chitta).
