Muscat, Oct 21: Clarks Exotica Resort & Spa, one of India's top hotels, promoted by NRE entrepreneur and philanthropist Ronald Colaco, has been honoured by the US-based World Confederation of Businesses (WORLDCOB) with the Bizz Award 2015, one of the most important awards of the business world.

The prestigious Award was presented to Ronald Colaco in a gala ceremony held at Al Bustan Palace in Muscat, Oman on October 18.

That's not all. Mangaluru's pride Ronald Colaco, who is known for his philanthropy and social concern, was conferred the World Leader Businessperson Award on the same occasion, in recognition of his splendid achievements in his field and for being a sucessful leader who works in an innovative, knowledgeable and systematic manner.

WORLDCOB is a leading business organization based in Houston, Texas, which fosters the development and growth of over 3,000 companies in 100 countries, recognizing and driving the advances of outstanding businesses and businessmen, as well as promoting corporate social responsibility. Clarks Exotica & Spa is an elite member of WORLDCOB.

Clarks Exotica Resort Hotel, fully owned by Ronald Colaco, is operated by Clarks Group of Hotels under the stewardship of Vivek Kumar, who also owns a number of five star hotels in northern India, well-known for their quality service. Nigel Colaco, son of Ronald Colaco, is the project director of the hotel.

Apart from Ronald Colaco, WORLDCOB also honoured Vivek Kumar, the managing director of Clarks Exotica, in recognition of excellence in quality management, and Nigel Colaco in recognition of excellence in business leadership.

During the event, 64 awards were presented to companies selected from 34 countries across the globe, among whom were UAE Exchange and Omani Marble Mining Company.

Speaking to daijiworld, Ronald Colaco said, "This award is dedicated to the management under Vivek Kumar, the managing director, M Balaji, the CEO and all the heads of the departments and the staff for their sincere and dedicated service, without which we would not have earned so many awards over the years."

Clarks Exotica, located in Swiss Town, Bengaluru, is spread out on 250 acres, amidst lush foliage, and offers a variety of indoor and outdoor sports and recreation facilities, swimming pools and water slides, and a high-standard spa and banqueting facilities.

The Bizz Award is the latest among a long list of international awards and recognitions that Clarks Exotica has won over the years. In 2013, Hotel Clarks Exotica, won the 'European Award for Best Practices 2013', instituted by the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR), followed by International Quality Summit Gold Category Award from BID Spain in New York the same year. Between 2013 and 2014, it won six major international awards, and early this year, it won the 'International Hotel Award' which was presented in London.
