Priceless Service

O Mummy, how much can I not thank you for standing by me through thick and thin;
Supporting me when I was at risk, and teaching me how to win.
When I was tiny you took care of me untiringly realizing my feelings.
Kept loving me; no doubt in spite of mine and your illness
But it’s time now to head back
To care for you without a minute’s lack.
I know the present is scary;
Believing you’ll be alright; never to worry.
Gracious patience God often provides you to bear the pain even in vain;
Your trust in me to alleviate your pain and sorrow
Will be my future again.
I now keep listening and listening, to your breath and heartbeat;
When I was tiny you understood my language and my need.
Kept loving me; but now, mother, I realise self-less deed;
The wisdom you used to help me in my weakness;
So, I just wish to fervently pray daily,
‘God, give my mother, the strength to bear her dimness.
