Scars

Scars
Life's struggles has bestowed me with scars,
It's a proud reminder of the arduous battles I had.
Of the stab of words from loved ones,
Of the countless failures that maimed my frail heart,
Of unmet desires that remain buried within,
Of dwindling confidence that defeat brought in.
The fading hope of life's small desires and big dreams.
Life has never been easy for anyone all the time.
It gives one a little joy and takes away some.
It gives one a throbbing pain, deep and agonizing
And glitter of smile and piles of laughter in between.
Many a times, the battle is hard and weary
The scars are deep, hurting and many to count,
But it's a battle worth fighting hard cause,
Life's beautiful moments are worth everything.

Dear Hansel, scars come in a variety of forms, mostly external and internal. External scars will disappear in the allotted time. Internal scars, however, last a lifetime. But you did a good job of narration. Good Luck

Nice poem but always bring God in between oneself and one's (his or hers) hurts or guilts to erase the scars! As God is ocean of love and mercy.

Think Hansel is a bit "Confused With Scars".The concluding lines are proof. If life's beautiful moments are worth everything, how can struggles at the outset bestow you with scars?? Got it dear Hansel? You have a flair for words though!Put them in the right places!
