Touch Me Not

Touch Me Not

My life was wonderful when you gave me unconditional love.
You touched my soul as I never entertained myself with anyone whom I love;
But in reality, I couldn’t share my feelings due to my shy nature.
When you honestly explained the past, I took tension about your future.

Since my childhood, I hate the plant named Touch me not, for its thorn spike,
When I realized, its characteristics of sensitiveness as the highest hike;
Traditionally people worship the Tulsi plant for religious as well as medical purposes.
Knowing the advantages of Touch me not plant, I realize the total medical benefits it offers.

Although those around me perceive me as shy, introverted, and silent.
But I choose the people with whom I share my true self very quietly;
Dear friend everybody like the Tulsi plant; but the Touch me not plant has its attraction.
The present generation all expose themselves in a peculiar method,
Dear friend, you made me realize the value of friendship in a hidden mode.

For many years we faced problems based on our fate.
Yet we met again with a mutual attraction since we were classmates.
Oh... my friend, you are so... sensitive that I could listen to your views.
But trust me, I may not be a Tulsi plant, but in the future, I sensitively care for your vibes.

    Hey, Dr. Maria...! It was a nice read, but I am surprised to see no comments. Well, to me introverts are often great friends. They crave friendship that allows them the space to speak and share their thoughts. So true, like you mentioned, only when you understand and accept the person the way they are you will have an emotional connect. All the best…! look forward to your next article.
