About Guns and Dolls
He picked a gun while she a doll
Never did they know, what was to befall
He’s a brave bairn, they cried
Girls are gentle – a tag they tied
Some said it is his right to shoot
And the rest uttered, she is better mute
Some drooled saying dolls are cute
He will make us proud, murmured the coot
He walked gallantly with a triumphant stride
Beside walked she, with eyes full of pride
Shone on their shoulders, stars bright
Their genderless dreams taking flight
On the war-field, he pointed the gun
She nursed the wounded, all care done
Each one flawless, true to their calls
In a cozy trunk cuddled, the guns and the dolls
