ABC of Living ....While We Are Still Alive
Acknowledge one's existence,
Brighten up their life,
Connect with them - as often as you can,
Dine with them - even if it is for a short while.

Empathy with them when they are lonely -
Forgive and learn to let go your ego.
Give them your fruitful time - it makes a big difference,
Hello them often to check if they are still alive.

Ignore them not - though they may not fit in your clan,
Joke with them, as laughter is the best medicine for all times.
Kind words spoken will last forever,
Listen to them always with all your heart and mind.

Motivate them when they feel low and sad -
Nurture them with wisdom to continue with confidence to go on and on.
Offer them your helping hand and lift them high,
Pray for them - as when two or three are gathered there divine power exist.

Question them not for what they did not do,
Respect them for the task they fulfilled without hesitation- wholeheartedly.
Smile with them as it portraits a positive image of you,
Talk to them of sweet memories - together experienced all this while.

Ushering the warm feeling that this moment wish would never end,
Value them for what and who they are;
Watch over them when their feeble life is coming to an end.

Xenodochial by nature as they continue to be,
Young and energetic they wish could be for awhile,
Zoom call with them and stay connected till they have gone.

While here they say to you..

Wait not for when my breath is taken away,
I lie motionless and helpless - nothing to do.

Don't waste your tears on me nor blabber - what good you have done to me.
You could have done me much more, as it was your duty assigned by God not by me.

Stay silent instead and weap and repent for yourselves -
As you too will be knocked down on your feet,
Waiting for others to take you to your place of rest.

Hope you will remember to do good to others as our Heavenly Father has been always so merciful to us. AMEN.
