Memories: The Store of Life

Memories: The Store of Life
Life is a store,
Where memories are more,
Ever ready to roar

Memories to laugh at,
That makes our grief half,
And boost the joy graph

Memories to teach,
An asset no one can breach,
Aiding us to reach new heights

Memories to affect,
To show a light of caution and reflect,
A constellation of information glued to protect

Hidden in the dark box of the brain,
They cook until well done,
Secretly guarded, hard to be stolen

Stories of grey matter have a lot to say,
Owning the power to change the mood of the day,
Creating the loudest sound in the quiet mind with their play

Memories assist in decision-making,
They speak words of comprehension,
Maintaining the human connection

A memory lane,
A sign of a healthy brain,
Without it, you and I would be insane

Memories of loved ones stay and pass on,
Living long after they are gone,
With them, no one feels alone

Born of perception, grown by experience, groomed by culture,
Memories are friends for life,
They never ditch—just make them rich.
