In a World Full, Yet Empty - A reflection on what truly remains

We move in millions, yet walk alone,
Through drifting crowds with hearts turned stone.
Smiles are worn, though rarely true,
Eyes still searching for something new.
We gather our wealth—gold, houses, land,
Cars at our doors, cash in our hand.
But if tomorrow never comes,
For whom were these treasures built over years?
When we are gone and time moves on,
Will our absence be felt—or quickly gone?
Will those we leave protect what we made,
Use it with wisdom, or let it all fade?
If answers were clear in the light of day,
We’d choose to live a wiser way.
Time over things, love over more,
Moments above the wealth we adore.
We’d live with purpose, gentle and free,
Leaving compassion for all to see.
For when all fades and life must part,
Love is the legacy—
the only thing that lasts.
