Recipes - Turnip and Radish Salad
Ingredients:
2 turnips (grated)
1 radish (grated)
1 carrot (grated)
1 small cucumber (grated)
½ cup sprouted green gram
½ cup grated coconut
2-3 tbsp. chopped coriander leaves
2-3 tbsp. pomegranate seeds
Salt as per taste
For Seasoning:
1-2 tbsp. oil
½ tsp. mustard
½ tsp. cumin/jeera
2-3 short red chillies
2 sundried curd chillies (Sandige Menasu)
Method:
In a mixing bowl, mix all the grated vegetables. Add coconut and salt. Heat oil in a pan and fry the sundried curd chillies until brown and set aside. In the same oil, splutter mustard and jeera. Add chilies. Pour this seasoning over the salad. Add the crushed fried curd chillies and mix well.
Sprinkle coriander leaves and pomegranate seeds on the top.
