Tumkur, Apr 25, DHNS : All roads led to Siddaganga Mutt in the City on Sunday. Decked up for the Guruvandana Mahotsava and the 104th birthday celebrations of Shivakumara Swami, the City witnessed the peak of devotion as a sea of devotees surged into Tumkur.
The cynosure of all eyes, Shivakumara Swami was swept with emotions as thousands flocked to seek his blessings. A pioneer of ‘Trividha Dasoha,’ the devotees sought his blessings for eternity.
The guest of honours who made their presence felt at the event included BJP National President Nitin Gadkari, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Council to the Prime Minister C N R Rao, Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamy of Suttur Mutt, etc.
Governor H R Bhardwaj who inaugurated the programme, elaborated on the services rendered by the Swamy. Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and BJP National President Nitin Gadkari also spoke.
