Madikeri: Tremors Felt, People Fearful About Earthquake Prospects

Madikeri, Apr 27: At around 10.50 am on Wednesday April 27, the residents of the town experienced tremors for about ten seconds.

As their houses shook, the residents got scared and ran out to the streets and safer places. They were frightened at the prospect of earthquake.

No report about loss or damage to property have been received till now.

Why are you surprised, well being a hill station does not mean should not have earthquake, it is the way the nature is.... we have only seen the best face of it, the beauty and we are yet to see the beast....

Dont recall seeing anyone run out of their house..! We heard a distant thunderous noise n ya the quake happened but it was very light ,Most people dint even realise it! All is well
