Mangalore, Apr 30: The department of surgery of Father Muller Medical College Hospital, Kankanady, will organize a special camp on piles (haemorrhoids) at their premises here on Friday May 13 and Saturday May 14.

Patients with severe cases will be operated upon using a new device called haemorrhoid stapler.  This instrument which normally costs around Rs 17,000 will be made available free of cost.  Selection of patients for the surgery will take place from Monday May 2 to Thursday May 12 at surgery OPD (Room number 32).

The procedure will benefit patients as it is painless surgery. They will be discharged the day after the procedure and will have a quick recovery.
