Mumbai, Oct 8: Havyaka Welfare Trust, Mumbai released a book titled ‘Soori Parva – Karki Venkataramana Shastri Jeevana Sadhane’ on the life time achievements of Karki Venkataramana Shastri in the cooperation of Mumbai university Kannada department. The programme was held at Havyakara auditorium, Deepti Solitaire building, Ghatkoper west in the morning on October 8. Dr G L Hegde, president of Karnataka Yakshagana Academy was the chief guest in the programme.

The programme was presided over by Havyaka Trust president, advocate Shivakumar P Bhagavat. Dr G N Upadhya, head of the department of Kannada in Mumbai University released the book. Advocate Amita S Bhagavat, honorary editor of Havyaka Sandesha monthly magazine, introduced the book. Author Shashikala Hegde congratulated everybody who helped her to publish the book.

Vice president Sanjay Bhat, honorary secretary Narayana Akadasa, K C Hegde, Ganapathi V Hegde and Maya G L Hegde were present.

Kannada department co professor Dr Poorima S Shetty welcomed, introduced the guests and compered the programme. Tanuja Hegde rendered a vote of thanks.

Kala Bhagavat, Shailaja Hegde and Shashikala Hegde presented a cultural programme.
