Mumbai, Oct 10: “The huge idol of Sri Rama at Sri Rama Janmabhoomi will be installed in January, 2024,” said Sri Rama Janmabhoomi trustee and Udupi temple seer Vishwaprasanna Theertha Sripada. He was speaking to reporters at Pejavar math, Santacruz east on Sunday, Oct 9.

“It is taking eight months to prepare the idol. The entire temple and the idol are coming up with donations from the devotees. All the residents of Mumbai should participate in the celebrations,” he said.

“We are following the constitution of India. Nobody should act in haste. The rituals will be held as per the regional traditions of north India,” he said.

Poornaprajna Vidyapeetha Prathistana Mumbai honorary president Dr A S Rao, secretary B R Gurumoorthi, Dr M Seetarama Alva, Vishnu Acharya Udupi, Krishna Bhat, Pejavar math manager Prakash Acharya Ramakunja, Dr Ramadasa Upadhyaya Renjala, Vidwan Hari Bhat Puthige, Niranjan Gogte and others were present.
