Bengaluru, Dec 16: International collaboration with globally renowned universities has become inevitable for the Indian universities to effectively compete with them to meet the aspirations of students for world-class education with different and innovative thinking, said Dr C N Ashwath Narayan, Higher Education Minister, on Friday.
He was addressing a function to create awareness on the MBA (Healthcare) Course at the Padmashri Life Sciences Education Institute in collaboration with the US-based Alvernia University.
The minister said the higher education system must encourage and propagate inclusive growth by coming out of the traditional systems of learning and teaching. The education must be aimed at making the students ready for the job market as they finish their studies, he said.
Dr Narayan said education has become digitised and the students must be equipped to deal with the digitalised world.
It is gratifying that Bengaluru and Karnataka has become home to modern technology, especially IT, BT and AI, he said and emphasised the need of educational systems to develop their curricula to meet the requirements.
