Dhoni to Promote Jharkhand Forest Department

Ranchi, June 5 (IANS) Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been made the brand ambassador of Jharkhand's forest and environment department.

The announcement by the state government in a full page advertisement in newspapers coincides with the World Environment Day Sunday.

The advertisement carries Dhoni's photographs and his message to the people. "Our safety is in protecting the environment. Come forward to protect the natural beauty of Jharkhand," the message said.

The cricketer has expressed his gratitude to the state government for making him the brand ambassador.
