London, Jul 3 (IANS): India's Mahesh Bhupathi and his Russian partner Elena Vesnina moved into the mixed doubles final of the Wimbledon with a hard-fought win over Australian Paul Hanley and Chinese Taipei's Su-Wei Hsieh in the semi-finals here Saturday.

Bhupathi and Vesnina won 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 in a match that lasted close to two hours.

The fourth seeded Indo-Russian pair were rusty in the first half as they committed too many unforced errors but managed to saved two of the five break points and won it 6-2.

Hanley and Hsieh, however, came back strongly in the second set to win it 6-3.

The third set saw a see-saw battle as the Australian-Chinese Taipei pair broke Bhupathi and Vesnina in the third game to take a 2-1 lead. But the Indo-Russian pair broke back them back soon and held serve to go up 3-2.

Bhupathi and Vesnina were in their elements in the last stage of the game and got points of long rallies.

In Sunday's final they will face the winner of the match between eight seeded pair of Canada's Daniel Nestor and Yung-Jan Chan of Chinese Taipei and the ninth-seeded pair of Austrian Jurgen Melzer and Czech Republic's Iveta Benesova.
