Mumbai, Jul 18: Soon after the news of Shiv Sena mouthpiece 'Saamna' criticising Shah Rukh Khan for partying on Katrina Kaif's birthday on the night of Mumbai blasts broke, the virtual world on Twitter, Facebook and other social networking sites got busy defending and opposing Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Many of the comments showed 'favouratism' to their respective idols. Some have praised Shiv Sena supremo for the bold statement in Saamna, adding that Shah Rukh Khan, being a superstar should have stayed away from partying atleast for a week.

"King Khan is a real king in Bollywood, millions of people follow him. It's sad that he tweets and says that he enjoyed the party to the core, shame on him!" says a 23-year-old software engineer who also admitted that he has never been a fan of SRK.

But a die-hard fan of Shah Rukh Khan, 19-year-old Ayesha from Kurla is angry about the Saamna article on her hero, and feels that it is none of Shiv Sena's business to question him. "Let them tell us what they have done for the victims. They could have collected contributions from all Shiv Sena members and helped the poor victims. I don't think Shah Rukh has shown disrespect to the bomb blasts victims. He is a great hero, and has respect for every one."

From a political angle, those who support Shiv Sena have joined in criticising the Bollywood superstar, saying he should not have partied.

But on the other hand, those who oppose Shiv Sena have expressed displeasure at the Saamna article and said, "We all share sympathies with the blasts victims, but it is not right to say that just because he attended a party he showed disrespect to the victims."

"How does Shiv Sena know whether SRK has shown his respects to the victims or not? I am sure, silently he must have prayed or even supported or met the families. Only negative news comes in the media; we rarely get to see anything positive about celebrities," says a fan of Shah Rukh, who runs a cafeteria near Mumbai airport.

    it is duty of shiv sena to criticise muslim on any type of issue.I understand SRK should not celebrate party but it does mean he is evil,they called people what they called each other,they have contributed to victims of the blast.
    Bal thakrey perhaps yet not take food for the grief of blast.

    I do not know from where this 23 year old software engineer had that Shah Rukh has tweeted he enjoyed the Party. Shah Rukh tweeted the last time froM London Airport and wrote hoe sad and schoked he was about the blasts. Farhan Akhtar tweeted about the Party not Shah Rukh. And btw The Paty was 2 days after the blasts not on the day of the blasts. And to Shiv Sena i have no words anymore they say Shah Rukh is evil.The only evil here are Shiv Sena.

    How could they know whether SRK showed respect to the victims.Instead of criticizing him..ShivSena should have come forward and must have helped the victims. He also tweeted about the victims on the blast day ..but then no one praised him for doing so. And now there is everyone to scold or criticize him when he has partied. Shivsena keeps on being in news by taking SRK's name.Thats all.
