Kundapur: Forest dept staff capture eighth leopard in a cage at Maladi

Kundapur, June 14: The forest department staff have captured a leopard in their cage at Maladi, Thekkatte grama panchayat limits.

The department had caught seven leopards that were wandering about in the vicinity. This is the eighth animal to have been captured by them.

The residents were worried due to the presence of leopards. A leopard had tried to drag a dog from the yard of a house here last week.

The leopard that has been caught now is about four years to five years old.

    Leopard are straying into city areas due to lack of proper food. The Forest Department must ensure they get good food in forest In Africa many national parks animals are fed by forest guards. What's more important is water We must provide them good amount of water by means of making lake sin forests If we do that then they will not starry into city areas I feel

    Dr kusuma Nellore ,sure food must fed to leopards.First of all forests are disappearing ,now due to bad weather ,people self hav no water to drink .Then from where one have to give to animals?There are so many leopards in forests ,noone wants this.
