Kasharp Fitness, Balaanjaneya gym shine in State Senior Powerlifting Championship 2023

Mangaluru, Jun 20: The 48th men and 40th Karnataka Women’s State Senior Powerlifting Championship 2023 was held on June 17 and 18 at Railway Shatabdi Bhavan, Club Road, Hubballi.

The championship was organised by Dharwad District Powerlifting Association and The Eternal Gym, Hubbali under the authority of Karnataka Powerlifting Association Mangaluru.

Pradeep Kumar representing Balanjaneya Gymnasium was adjudged Karnataka Strong Man 2023 and bagged a gold medal in the 83 kilogram category. Pradeep Kumar bagged the award for 5th consecutive year.

Venizeia Carlo of Kasharp Fitness bagged the first place in the 69 kilogram category, Akshata Kharvi of Kasharp Fitness bagged the first place in the 63 kilogram category, and Reshaeil Monteiro of Kasharp Fitness bagged the first place in the 84+ kilogram category.

Shalan Pinto of Kasharp Fitness bagged the second place in the 47 kilogram category, and Dr Manjushri Shetty of Kasharp Fitness bagged the second place in the 84 kilogram category.

Prajvitha Uchil, Shwetha K and Deepa K S of Kasharp Fitness bagged third place in the 76 kilogram category.

Swathi and Shakuntala participated in the 69 and 63 kilogram category bagged the fourth and fifth places respectively.

All the powerlifter represented Kasharp Fitness. For their outstanding performance, the women bagged the overall championship award, while Balaanjaneya gymnasium bagged the championship of men’s team.
