Puttur: Man injured in bike accident succumbs

Puttur, Jun 22: A man, resident of Nelyadi in the taluk, who was under medical treatment in Mangaluru after he was seriously injured in a bike accident, succumbed on Wednesday.

The deceased is identified as Abdul Jabbar (51), son of Saibu Byari, a resident of Dontila of Kaukradi village.

Jabbar was hit by a bike on June 19 while he was walking by the side of the highway. In the incident bike riders and Jabbar both got injured. Seriously injured Jabbar was shifted to Mangaluru for higher treatment.

Jabbar is survived by wife, four sons and four daughters.
