Minister M B Patil invites Elon Musk of Tesla to invest in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Jun 23: Industries Minister M B Patil has invited leading American electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla to establish its manufacturing facility in Karnataka and has offered all support for the setting of the EV car manufacturing unit in the State.

The minister said Karnataka will be happy to extend all support and infrastructure facilities to Tesla, which is a leading company in EV Car manufacturing as also in solar panels and other alternative energy equipment. It also provides satellite connectivity through StarLink system.

 

"US industrialist Elon Musk is welcome to Karnataka if he decides to start his company, Tesla operations in India,’’ he said.

Patil pointed out that Karnataka is a leading IT power house and has the necessary technical manpower.
