Udupi, June 23: “Anti-Conversion law brought by BJP is nonsense. It is an unscientific act brought into force by BJP and is of no use. Not even a single case has been registered under this law," Dharmendra, executive member of Abhinava Bharatha said.

Speaking about the anti-conversion law at a news conference, Dharmendra said on Friday, June 23, "How could one be forcefully converted to another religion. State government said they will not do hatred politics but repealing this act has proved that they are doing hatred politics."

He stated, “No changes should be brought in the state syllabus. We have decided to move a public interest litigation (PIL) in the court on bringing changes in state syllabus. Chapters like where Nathuram Godse confessed why he killed Mahatma Gandhiji must be added to the syllabus. The present day state government is trying to pedal false information in students' minds."

Dharmendra said "Veer Savarkar and Dr. Hegadevar are great nationalist leaders shown in a wrong way. We request the government to constitute  a committee and accord autonomy while deciding what education must be delivered."

Abhinava Bharatha has warned that they will continue their protest by organising press meets, door-to-door campaigns and create awareness among the people if state government brings about changes in the syllabus and repeals the two laws.

"Abhinava Bharatha has always worshiped the cow. They have six cow sheds where a number of cattle are sheltered and treated

Members of Abhinava Bharatha, Jayaram, Shekar Vamnjoor, Prathap Baindoor, were also present.
