Bhatkal: Anjuman College Hosts International Seminar on 'Global Employability'

Bhatkal, Jul 28: Anjuman Degree College and PG Center organized an international seminar on 'Global Employability – Challenges and Prospects' to motivate and develop the competency in educated youth, here at Anjuman College premises recently.

General secretary of Anjuman Institution Abdul Raheem Jukaku who was also the chief guest provided some useful tips to job seekers.

Syed Khaleel presided over the programmme. In his presidential address he said that India as an emerging superpower has enormous employment opportunities compared to other countries in the world.

"Our youth are attracted towards foreign countries, because of their external richness, which is not true as a totally different and horrifying scenario dwells in external growth. Almost every country is under heavy debt and its economic condition is not stable," he added.

The job market in the Gulf is volatile and uncertain, so students are recommended to explore opportunities in India rather than going abroad, said Khaleel.

He expressed deep concern over the increasing rate of crime and corruption in India and urged the students to fight against the menace. He also advised youth not to go after easy bucks and get involved in illegal activities that would ruin their life.

The paper presentations commenced with the paper on 'Emerging Trends in Global Employability' by Mohammed Yaseen Askeri, account and administration manager at Wasma International, Saudi Arabia.

Abdul Rahman Siddiqui, chief financial officer at MediaQuest Corp, Dubai presented a paper on 'Overseas Placement Prospects in Managerial Position'.

Mohiddin Ruknuddin, sales support and operating manager at Shell Lubricant, Dubai presented a paper on 'Career Opportunities in India'.

A paper on 'US Professional Certification for Global Placements' was presented by S M Shuaib Koteshwar, business manager at Morgan International, Saudi Arabia.

And Mohammed Nauman Aliakbara of Basem International, Saudi Arabia presented a paper on 'Challenges in Overseas Job Procurement'.

Dr Zameerullah Sharief, principal of the college welcomed and introduced the guests and Prof M M Shaikh delivered the vote of thanks.

Prof Ravindra Naik and Prof Sahil compered.
